Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the overall well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up
- Assist with medical equipment setup and maintenance
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of basic healthcare procedures
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in nursing homes is a plus
- Knowledge of catheter care systems and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is desirable
